PDP Chieftains Warn Ebonyi Against Another “Wasted” Four Years Ahead of 2027

A public affairs analyst, Paschal Oluchukwu, and other chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party have vowed that Ebonyi State cannot afford another wasted four years ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

They disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday following a meeting in Ebonyi. Oluchukwu said that owing to what he described as the insufficient presence of governance in the state over the past three years, residents should not hesitate to vote out the incumbent administration led by Francis Nwifuru.

He argued that the opposition, led by the PDP, represents a viable alternative to replace the current government, stressing that governance should not be treated as a trial-and-error exercise and that individuals must demonstrate proven accomplishments before being entrusted with public office.

Ahead of the 2027 election in the state, PDP chieftain in Ebonyi, Christopher Ngwuta, urged the people of Ezza Ezekuna not to be deceived by certain individuals promising them power in 2031.

He argued that such promises were deliberately kept away from public knowledge because those making them did not want to be held accountable, insisting that the people needed to be wise and rally behind a candidate he identified as Anyichuks, whom he described as the only one capable of delivering power to an Ezza man.

For his part, a former member of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Ikechukwu Nwobo, alleged that the level of decay and misgovernance in the state had reached a point where residents should shift their focus away from zoning arrangements.

He claimed never truly existed, and instead concentrate on rescuing the state from what he described as bad governance under the current administration.

He warned that Ebonyi people could not survive another wasted four years if the current trajectory continued.
