Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has generated reactions online after hinting that her divorce from her estranged husband, Frederick Leonard, has now been finalised.

Taking to social media, the actress expressed gratitude to God, sharing a brief message that many interpreted as confirmation that the legal proceedings had come to a close.

This latest development comes months after Peggy publicly accused Frederick of engaging in an affair with a married woman who has children.

She had also alleged that the actor repeatedly stalled their divorce proceedings by failing to show up in court after being served legal papers.

At the time, Peggy shared a video showing Frederick alongside his alleged lover at a public event, urging him not to miss yet another customary court hearing.

Earlier this year, Frederick appeared to hint at a new phase in his life while celebrating his birthday, saying he had found a happier version of himself.

Around the same time, Peggy shared a cryptic post declaring that she had chosen herself, a message many fans believed was aimed at the actor.

The couple got married in a lavish traditional wedding ceremony in Asaba, Delta State, on November 19, 2022.
