Peter Obi Meets Swiss Ambassador in Push for Stronger Partnerships

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), met with Patrick Egloff, the Swiss ambassador to Nigeria, on Tuesday.

Obi stated in a social media post on Wednesday that the meeting’s main goal was to strengthen progress through collaboration.

He claimed that the conversation was fruitful and interesting, concentrating on Nigeria’s developmental path and paying special attention to the vital areas that are propelling progress, which he defined as poverty alleviation, healthcare, and education.

He expressed gratitude for the contributions of the Swiss Confederation to Nigeria’s development, particularly its support for economic, cultural, humanitarian, and peace-building initiatives, especially in the North-East.

He added that building stronger partnerships anchored on shared values and a commitment to human development remains essential to creating a more prosperous and inclusive Nigeria.
