Super Eagles slip behind Egypt in latest FIFA rankings

The Pharaohs of Egypt have moved ahead of the Super Eagles in the latest FIFA World Rankings, DAILY POST reports.
Hossam Hassan’s side’s remarkable performances at the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup propelled them above the Super Eagles in the men’s rankings.
Before the start of the global football fiesta, the Super Eagles were ranked the third-best team in Africa behind the Atlas Lions of Morocco and the Teranga Lions of Senegal.
Egypt, now ranked 24th in the world, have moved to third position in Africa, with the Super Eagles dropping to fourth.
The Super Eagles, however, retain their 26th position in the world.
The Desert Foxes of Algeria are the fifth-ranked team on the continent.
