Supermarket urgently remove bottles of water from shelves over mould fears

The affected brand – Tasmanian Mountain Waters Exp – recalled its 10-liter Mt Ossa Australian Spring Water bottles dated best before June 15, 2028. The waters were being sold at Woolworths in two Australian territories.

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) said the product was pulled from supermarket shelves over fears of mould contamination, which “may cause illness” if consumed.

“Consumers should not eat this product,” a statement from FSANZ read.

“Consumers should return product(s) to the place of purchase for a full refund.

“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”

Just days earlier, Bellevue Orchard recalled it one-liter Summer Snow – Pink Lady Apple Juice (best before March 8, 2027 and March 12, 2027) and two-liter Summer Snow – Granny Smith Apple Juice (best before March 29, 2027).

FSANZ said the recall was due to “unsuccessful pasteurisation resulting in microbial (mould) contamination”.
