Taraba: Accord guber candidate appoints veteran journalist as spokesperson

The governorship candidate of the Accord party in Taraba state, Prof. Jerome Nyemeh, has appointed a veteran journalist, Mallam Lawal Sani Kona, as his campaign spokesperson for the 2027 election.
Sani Kona, a retired Director with the Taraba State Broadcasting Service TSBS, had also served as chief press secretary to the immediate past deputy Governor of Taraba State, and general manager, Haske Radio and Television, Jalingo.
Prof. Nyemeh, who described the choice of Mallam Kona as strategic, the governorship candidate expressed that the veteran journalist will bring a deep understanding of the citizens’ aspirations to the campaign, and as well, apply his communication expertise needed to effectively engage stakeholders across the state and beyond.
“The choice of Mallam Lawal Sani Kona as my campaign spokesperson is strategic. He will play a pivotal role in articulating our vision, policies, and commitment to building a better future for the people of Taraba State.
“He will bring to the campaign a deep understanding of the aspirations of our people, as well as the communication expertise needed to effectively engage stakeholders across the state and beyond.
“His wealth of experience in media engagement, public communication, and information management makes him exceptionally qualified for this important responsibility”, the governorship candidate justified in a statement.
