Ubi Franklin reveals struggle that led him to suicide attempts

Ubi Franklin, the manager of a Nigerian musician, has explained why, despite his affluence, he attempted suicide on the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State.

He revealed the information in a video that he posted online, site in an effort to inform his followers about his life.

Speaking on his marriage to Lilian Esoro, he said that despite his professional achievement, he became depressed and ashamed when she left him without his doing anything wrong.

While acknowledging that not every love story ends the way one imagines, Ubi Franklin disclosed that he had attempted suicide on multiple occasions, revealing that he once drove to the Third Mainland Bridge with the intention of taking his own life before he was rescued by his cousin, Omini Stitches.

He recounted going through an extremely dark and depressing period, recalling a specific instance where he drove to the Third Mainland Bridge in his red CL car intending to end his life.

He said the only reason he survived was because his cousin, Omini Stitches, came to his rescue, adding that Omini had saved him on several occasions when he attempted to take his life.

He explained that he had felt deeply embarrassed at the time, questioning what he had done to deserve such circumstances despite having a thriving career and managing one of the biggest artistes in the country then.

He said everything appeared to be going well for him, which made him feel it was the right time to settle down.

He noted that he sometimes believes the relationship simply wasn’t meant to work out, admitting that even now, he cannot fully explain what led to its breakdown.

However, he said he and his former partner have remained on good terms, co-parenting effectively and coming together to celebrate milestones in their son’s life.

He expressed the belief that despite the pain he went through, the best outcome from that chapter of his life was his son, adding that his former partner continues to do well and that he always supports her fully whenever the opportunity arises, wishing her continued success.

He urged people not to hold onto hatred toward others simply because relationships do not work out, describing such experiences instead as opportunities to learn and move forward.
