Following the completion of the 2025 promotion exercise carried out by the FCT government Service Commission, 3,592 government officials were authorized for promotion by Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike.

Emeka Ezeh, the chairman of the FCT Civil Service Commission, made this revelation.

He claims that the promotion exercise was performed successfully.

He disclosed that the promotion examinations for senior officers were held between July 1 and July 3, while junior staff sat theirs on July 10.

Ezeh also revealed that Wike had directed the commission to begin the 2026 promotion exercise immediately, to ensure eligible workers are promoted without unnecessary delays, stressing that under the current administration.

It remains a priority for FCT workers to be promoted as and when due, in order to complement the infrastructural development efforts of the FCT Minister and ensure workers are not left out of the celebrations marking the President’s third anniversary in office.

He said the decision was aimed at ensuring civil servants benefit alongside the ongoing development projects across the Federal Capital Territory.

The commission chairman commended FCT workers for conducting themselves peacefully throughout the 2025 promotion exercise and urged those expected to participate in the 2026 exercise to maintain the same level of discipline and professionalism.
