4 Suspected Gang Members Arrested Over Ajah Robbery Cases

Four suspected members of a criminal gang allegedly linked to recent cases of k!lling, armed robbery and cult-related activities in the Ajah axis have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command.

The arrests resulted from sustained follow-up operations arising from a robbery investigation.

The suspects are Kareem Abiodun, 26; Tansiru Emmanuel, 29; Lateef Usman, 28; and Alashe Azeez, 32. Preliminary investigations indicated they were allegedly connected to robbery incidents in Ajah, Sangotedo and Ibeju-Lekki.

The suspects made confessional statements allegedly linking them to armed robbery, k!lling and cult-related activities.

During operations, police recovered three locally made pistols, one live round of ammunition, two battle axes and a Point-of-Sale machine.

The suspects remain in police custody and are assisting investigators with ongoing inquiries. Efforts continue to apprehend other alleged gang members and recover additional items.

They are expected to be charged to court upon conclusion of investigations.

The Commissioner of Police commended the operatives for their diligence and sustained efforts, directing them to maintain momentum and intensify operations to track down other suspected gang members.

He warned cultists, armed robbers and violent criminals that the command would employ intelligence-led operations to identify, arrest and prosecute those involved in criminal activities.
