Alhaji’s Death: Buratai visits family of ex-Minister

A former Chief of Army Staff and Betara of Biu and Garkuwan Keffi, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai (retd.), has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late former Minister of Finance and former Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji, Sardaunan Sokoto, at the deceased’s residence in Sokoto, Sokoto State.

So also did the former COAS during the visit on Sunday, also paid homage to the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar.

During the visit, Lieutenant General Buratai expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive the late Abubakar Alhaji, grant him Aljannatul Firdaus, and give his family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

He also paid a courtesy visit to the Sultan of Sokoto at his palace, where he similarly offered prayers for the peaceful repose of the soul of the late elder statesman.

He was accompanied on the visits by a former Chief of Army Staff and Zaruman Sokoto, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya (retd.); Brigadier General SK Usman (retd.); Dr. Nurudeen Isah; and Alhaji Ibrahim Nasiru. 

At the conclusion of the engagements, Lieutenant General Yahaya also hosted Lieutenant General Buratai and his entourage at his residence in Sokoto.
