Desmond Elliot Returns to Movie Set After APC Primary Defeat

Desmond Elliot, a member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Surulere Constituency I, was seen on a film set after losing the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary.

Desmond Elliot and fellow Nollywood actor Ibrahim Chatta were seen in photos that went viral on social media at what looked to be a movie set.

During the production, the two were observed standing together and conversing.

The development has sparked reactions online, with some social media users expressing excitement about seeing the actor back on screen after years spent in politics.

The movie set appearance comes days after Desmond Elliot lost the APC primary for the Surulere Constituency I seat ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The three-term Lagos lawmaker was defeated by Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, who secured the majority of votes in the party’s primary election.

Before venturing into politics, Elliot built a career in Nollywood, starring in several films and television productions.

His recent appearance on a movie set has fuelled speculation that he may be returning to acting. However, he has not publicly confirmed whether he is making a full return to filmmaking following his defeat in the APC primary.
