A Nigerian woman, Onovo Chika Sandra, has opened up about the alleged problems she endured during her marriage to a “mummy’s boy husband.
 
 
According to Sandra, she suffered a great deal in the seven-year marriage because her husband did whatever his mother asked. 
 
 
She said she left him to ‘marry his mother’, adding that he was the firstborn but behaved like a ‘mumu’. 
 
“I was once married, yes I married an Enugu man, this name (ONOVO) attached to my name is his surname,I have tried to change that name in my documents but bank is stressing me. I believe one day I will succeed,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Friday, August 14, 2026.
 
“He is from Enugu while I’m from Imo state, our marriage lasted for 7 years before I left him.
 
“I left him cause he was a mummy’s boy, he does anything his mother asked. I suff3red in that marriage that I didn’t have a choice than to leave him to marry his mother. First born but behaving like mumu 😡😡.
 
“Na because I still small then, nobody go follow me do that rubbish again now. 
 
“That’s why it’s good to be mentally and emotionally matured before going into marriage. Will put the details here when I’m emotionally ready to talk about it.”
