Kumawood actor and Dabo Soccer Academy founder Yaw Dabo has announced he is auctioning his iPhone for GH¢2 million, claiming its value comes from having been handled by several top football stars.

“I’m auctioning my iPhone 17 Pro Max for GH¢2 million because football stars like John Terry, Jude Bellingham, Kobbie Mainoo, Declan Rice, Reece James, and several other top players have touched it. That alone makes it priceless,” Yaw Dabo said during an interview with Okay FM.

The claim builds on Yaw Dabo’s viral run at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where his encounters with England stars John Terry and Jude Bellingham, including being mistaken for a child by TV commentators, made him one of the tournament’s most talked-about Ghanaian personalities.

True to form, Yaw Dabo has consistently leveraged his public visibility and celebrity connections to drum up support for his football academy’s young players, often through unconventional, headline-grabbing appeals.

Whether the GH¢2 million price tag attracts a serious buyer remains to be seen, but the announcement has already succeeded in doing what Dabo’s stunts typically do, getting people talking.
