Nigeria international goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has returned to training at Serie A club Udinese following a brief injury layoff.
Okoye sustained a shoulder injury during the club’s training camp in Austria last month and has now resumed full team training after completing his rehabilitation programme under supervision of the club’s medical staff.
The shot-stopper has not yet featured in any of the club’s pre-season friendlies due to the injury and is not expected to participate in upcoming friendly matches against Barcelona and Nottingham Forest.
This decision aims to provide sufficient time for him to regain full match fitness while avoiding potential physical setbacks.
The 26-year-old is anticipated to be available for Udinese’s opening match of the season against Padova on Saturday, August 15, in the opening round of the Coppa Italia.
