Man attacked by his girlfriend and her sister after he confronted her for allegedly cheating

A 23-year-old woman and her sister, 27, were arrested by Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) for allegedly attacking her boyfriend.  

The suspects were nabbed on Monday, August 24, 2026 after they fled the scene of the violent attack in Mhlasini, KZN.

Reaction Officers were dispatched to a residence where a 23-year-old man was found bleeding profusely from open head and facial wounds.

It was established that the injured man had encountered his girlfriend in the company of an unknown man at another location. 

An argument allegedly ensued over her infidelity before he returned to his residence.

The girlfriend allegedly contacted her older sister and the two women confronted the victim at his home. 

During the altercation, they allegedly broke beer bottles over his head and st@bbed him.

When the man began bleeding, he allegedly armed himself with a knife, prompting both women to flee the scene.

Reaction Officers recovered the knife and broken beer bottles at the scene.

While Paramedics stabilised the injured man, Reaction Officers conducted a search for the suspects. 

Both women were subsequently tracked and arrested at separate locations in the same area.

The victim later opted to reconcile with his girlfriend and declined to pursue criminal charges.

The sisters were subsequently released without being charged.
