Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has appointed eight commissioner nominees to fill positions within his administration for the remainder of his tenure.
The announcement was conveyed by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly during legislative plenary in Lafia on Wednesday, as the governor’s letter was read into the record.
The nominees comprise Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo from Wamba Local Government Area, Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed from Lafia, and Mohammed Baba Shehu from Keffi.
The remaining five appointees are Mohammed Iyimoga Oyigye from Obi, Adamu Rabecca Kpadji from Wamba, Nawani Aboki from Doma, Jibril Abdullahi Ibrahim from Nasarawa, and Ashefo Daniel Paul from Lafia.
The nominees have been directed to submit 30 copies of their curriculum vitae and present themselves for legislative screening on Friday, August 7, 2026, at the State House of Assembly.
This appointment announcement follows a minor cabinet reshuffle initiated by the state government on July 22, in which six commissioners were repositioned as part of efforts to strengthen administrative effectiveness during the final months of the governor’s tenure.
The affected portfolios included Works, Women Affairs, Information, Lands, Science and Technology, and Security and Other Sundry Matters.
Those commissioners were directed to step aside from their positions as part of the reorganisation exercise.
