Dr. Samuel Tsebe, a member of the Nasarawa State Independent Electoral Commission and former Nasarawa State House of Assembly representative for Akwanga South Constituency, has resigned from the All Progressives Congress with immediate effect.
He disclosed his departure to a news agency in Akwanga on Monday.
Tsebe cited personal grounds for his decision to leave the party, stating that he was pursuing his political ambitions to serve his people, community and nation.
He formally submitted his resignation letter to the APC Chairman of Akwanga West Electoral Ward and has since defected to the Social Democratic Party.
The former lawmaker expressed gratitude to the APC and its leadership for the opportunities afforded to him while serving in various party capacities.
He subsequently called for support of the SDP ahead of the 2027 general elections.
