Peter Obi salutes Sultan Abubakar at 70

The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) for the 2027 polls, Peter Obi, has saluted the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Muhammadu Abubakar, on his 70th birthday.

The message of the former two-term Anambra State governor to the Sultan of Sokoto was posted on his X handle on Monday.

Titled: “70 Hearty Cheers to His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto,” Obi wrote: “Happy 70th Birthday to His Eminence, Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar III, the Sultan of Sokoto.

“Knowing Your Eminence for over forty years has given me a firsthand view of your remarkable wisdom, humility, and devotion to peace and national unity.

“I thank Almighty Allah for your life of dedicated service and pray that He continues to bless you with good health, long life, and greater wisdom to guide the faithful and contribute to the peace and progress of our nation.

“May the years ahead be filled with divine grace, peace, and fulfilled hopes as you continue your impactful and selfless service to humanity.
