Suspected cultist apprehended in Lagos

Men of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a suspected member of the Eiye Confraternity cult group and recovered one locally made single-barrel pistol in Mushin.

Confirming his arrest to newsmen, SP Abimbola Adebisi, spokesperson of the command, said while acting on credible information on cult-related activities at Ogunmokun Under-Bridge, Mushin, its operatives mobilised a surveillance team to the area and arrested one Segun Alani, ‘m’, aged 24 years. She said a search of the bag in his possession led to the recovery of one locally made single-barrel pistol concealed inside it. 

She added that the suspect is currently in Police custody and providing useful information to aid the investigation.
