Vision Spring Initiatives congratulates Adeleke on re-election 

Vision Spring Initiatives (VSI) has congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke on his re-election as the Governor of Osun State, following the recently concluded governorship election. 

The congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed by Vision Spring Initiatives (VSI) Programme Lead, Titilopemi Oriye and made available to journalists on Monday.  

Oriye said as a human rights organisation committed to democratic governance, social justice, and inclusive development, VSI followed the electoral process with keen interest and consistently advocated a peaceful, free, fair, and credible election. 

She said the successful conduct of the election and the reaffirmation of the Governor’s mandate represent an important milestone for democratic governance in Osun State and reinforced public confidence in democratic institutions. 

According to her, “Vision Spring Initiatives (VSI) is a duly registered non-governmental, not-for-profit human rights organisation (RC 908183) dedicated to advancing the rights and well-being of children, young people, women, and other groups made vulnerable by discriminatory laws, policies, and practices. Through advocacy, education, research, and strategic partnerships, the organisation works to promote gender equality, social justice, and inclusive development. 

“Over the past five years, VSI has invested significantly in supporting efforts to advance the sexual and reproductive health and rights of women and girls in Osun State. The organisation welcomes the continuity that this electoral outcome provides and looks forward to strengthening collaboration with the state government and other stakeholders to improve the lives of women, girls, and communities across the state. 

“The re-election of Governor Adeleke is also a reminder of the resilience of democratic institutions and the importance of the rule of law. Democratic governance creates opportunities for the protection of rights and the implementation of commitments made at state, national, regional, and international levels, particularly those that affect the health, safety, and development of women and girls. 

“VSI extends its heartfelt congratulations to the people of Osun State, who turned out in large numbers to participate in the electoral process and uphold democratic values. Their commitment to peaceful civic engagement reflects the strength of the state’s democratic culture and their dedication to shaping the future of their communities.
