Afrobeats stars Asake and Wizkid have reached a new milestone as their collaboration “MMS” crossed 100 million streams on Spotify.
The achievement makes “MMS” Asake’s eighth and Wizkid’s 17th track to hit the 100 million stream mark on the platform.
The Grammy-nominated song, which blends Asake’s energetic Yoruba-infused style with Wizkid’s smooth melodies, earned a nomination for Best African Music Performance at the 67th Annual Grammy Awards, further underscoring Afrobeats’ growing global appeal.
“MMS” is the most streamed track from Asake’s Lungu Boy album, released on August 8, 2024, and its streaming milestone comes on the heels of the duo’s joint project, Real Vol. 1 EP, released in January 2026. The EP, which features tracks including “Jogodo,” has recorded significant streaming numbers and topped charts across multiple countries.
