Delta: Masked uniformed men attempt to invade community chairman’s home

Unidentified hooded and uniformed gunmen attempted to forcefully invade the Warri residence of Prince Doubra Baro, the chairman of the Ojobo community in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.
A public statement released on Monday by the chairman’s wife, Mrs. Edesemi-Brisbe, confirmed the development.
According to available information, the heavily armed group attempted to break into the house in what appeared to be an attempt to abduct Mr. Baro Doubra and other family members.
It was learnt that the masked men initially arrived at the residence operating two Toyota Hilux vehicles and a Toyota Prado SUV.
The initial group was later joined by additional men dressed in military uniforms arriving in six large trucks. A video of the encounter circulating on social media captured a tense standoff.
Mrs. Edesemi-Brisbe can be heard screaming at the armed men, stating that her husband was not home and that she did not know who they were.
“You’re telling me that you would break in, you want to force yourselves in; I’m cooperating but that man (who is not in sight) is not permitted to enter here because I’m scared. My husband is not here. “I don’t know any of you, and I have never seen any of you before,” she screamed.
Following the incident, the family has issued an official notice to raise public awareness and document the event.
In the statement, Mrs. Edesemi-Brisbe strongly urged Nigerian government authorities and relevant security agencies to launch an immediate investigation into the exact identity and mission of the masked operatives, emphasizing that her family’s safety is severely threatened.
The footage has sparked widespread concern and criticism online, with many citizens questioning why supposed state security forces or armed operatives are masking their faces during community operations.
