Jubilant Ghanaian football supporters has descended on the family home of Black Stars goalkeeper Benjamin Asare following his outstanding performance in Ghana’s goalless draw with England at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, celebrating the shot-stopper who kept a crucial clean sheet against one of the tournament’s heavyweights.

Footage captioned “A visit at Benjamin Asare’s family house” shows a large crowd gathered at the residence at night, waving Ghana flags and celebrating in scenes that reflect the enormous pride the country has taken in Asare’s World Cup displays.

The goalkeeper produced a commanding performance against England, denying Harry Kane and other England attackers on multiple occasions to preserve the goalless draw that earned Ghana a valuable point in Group L.

The home visit is a deeply Ghanaian expression of communal celebration, the understanding that a player’s achievement belongs not just to the individual but to the family, the community and the hometown that shaped them.

Ghana now have four points from two matches, a win against Panama and the draw with England and are strongly positioned heading into their final group stage fixture.
