Gov Kefas appoints former Taraba APC exco members as aides

Governor Agbu Kefas has approved the appointment of all former State Executive Committee members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba State as Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants.
Presenting the appointments on Monday in Jalingo through the state chairman of the party, Alhaji Abubakar Bawa, the governor described the move as a demonstration of inclusiveness and political unity.

Bawa dismissed allegations that long-standing APC members had been sidelined within the party structure.

He explained that out of the current 18-member State Working Committee, only six members are new entrants, while the majority are founding stakeholders who played key roles in building the party in the state.

He praised Governor Kefas as a compassionate and fair-minded leader committed to justice, equity, and inclusive governance.

According to Bawa, the governor’s track record of appointing individuals across political divides, including APC members before his defection, reflects a commitment to fostering unity and advancing the collective interests of Taraba State.

Responding on behalf of the appointees, former APC Organising Secretary Apolos Jediel expressed appreciation to Governor Kefas for the recognition and confidence reposed in them.

Jediel noted that the appointments had strengthened their relationship with the party and provided them with greater opportunities to engage directly with APC stakeholders in their respective constituencies.

He also conveyed the group’s profound gratitude to the governor and pledged their unwavering loyalty, dedication, and support towards the successful implementation of his administration’s policies and programmes.
