I play fatherly role – Gospel singer Kenny Saint Best defends celebrating herself on Father’s Day

Gospel singer, Kenny Saint Best, popularly known as KSB, has defended the decision to celebrate herself on Father’s Day.

KSB and ex-husband, singer Eddy Brown of the defunct Remedies group, divorced in 2012 after 6 years of marriage and two children together. 

The mother of two took to Instagram on Sunday, June 21, 2026 to celebrate herself, drawing criticisms from some of her followers.

Responding to one of the followers, she said those who play fatherly roles should also celebrate themselves.

In an interview in 2025, the veteran singer said it wasn’t easy training her children all alone. 

“If there was a Daddy we would have shared responsibilities and I would have had my own me time. I sold my gold jewelry and even my car to pay school fees I don’t have any house,” she said.
