Kano gov rallies support for Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has urged residents of the state to support President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections, saying the President deserves widespread backing for his commitment to the development of Kano and the country.
Yusuf made the appeal on Wednesday at the Government House, Kano, while presenting a Certificate of Return to the newly elected member of the House of Representatives for Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency, Shu’aibu Rabi’u Nagogo.
This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.
According to the governor, the cordial relationship between the Kano State Government and the Federal Government has continued to yield positive results for the state.
He said, “The people of Kano State have every reason to continue supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. His commitment to the development of Kano and Nigeria at large has shown that he deserves overwhelming support from our people.”
Yusuf added that the partnership between the state and the Federal Government had advanced key infrastructure and development projects.
“We have seen clear support for key infrastructure and development projects in Kano. President Tinubu has demonstrated leadership and commitment to national unity, progress and the welfare of citizens,” he said.
The governor also called on political leaders, stakeholders and supporters in the state to remain united and strengthen the relationship between Kano and the Federal Government.
“I urge all political leaders, stakeholders and supporters across Kano State to remain united and committed to strengthening this partnership for the benefit of our people,” he said.
Yusuf congratulated Nagogo on his victory, expressing confidence that he would provide quality representation for the people of Dawakin Kudu and Warawa Federal Constituency.
He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working with the Federal Government to implement policies and programmes aimed at improving the living conditions of citizens.
