Kano housewife allegedly st@bs husband to d3ath two months after wedding

A housewife identified as Fatima, has allegedly st@bbed her husband, Auwalu, to d3ath less than two months after their marriage in Kano State.

‎The incident occurred on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at Rimin Kebe quarters in Ungoggo Local Government Area following an argument between the couple, who sources said were not in love when they married.

‎A resident of the area, who pleaded anonymity, told Daily Trust that the deceased cried out for help after being attacked.

The source said the woman allegedly st@bbed the deceased over what she called forced marriage, saying she never liked the slain husband.

“She hit his throat with a knife. He came out shouting that it was his wife who st@bbed him. He was rushed to the police station and later to the hospital, but he d!ed before arrival,” the source said.

‎The suspect was immediately arrested by officers of Zango Police Division in Dantamashe.

‎“Their marriage is less than two months old. The wife is presently under police custody,” the source added.
