Man who ass@ulted 18-year-old wife now in police custody – Activist, Harrison Gwamnishu (video)

Police have arrested a man who was detained at a Lagos hospital after arriving with his severely battered 18-year-old wife.
Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu confirmed the arrest this evening following a visit to the Isolo General Hospital, where the victim is currently receiving medical treatment.
According to Harrison, investigations revealed that the victim has lived with the suspect since she was 15 years old and was forced to drop out of school due to the relationship. He said despite the abuse, the victim fiercely defended her husband and fought to prevent his arrest, citing fears of facing backlash from her abuser’s family.
Harrison noted that she requires urgent psychological therapy due to the severe, long-term trauma of the relationship.
