Oyo abduction: Igboho speaks on status of injured Iru Ekun operatives

Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday,popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has given an update on the status of some of the injured members of his private security outfit, Iru Ekun.

DAILY POST reports that some of the Iri Ekun operatives were ambushed while searching for the abducted Oriire students and teachers in the Old Oyo State National Park by bandits three days ago.

It was also rumoured that Igboho was injured and overpowered by the gunmen.

Speaking two days after the speculations emerged, Igboho, in a video made on June 28 2026, denied being harmed and assured the public of his commitment to drive  kidnappers away from the state.

Also giving updates about the injured operatives, Igboho said they are feeling better and are in good condition.

“Greetings to my mothers and my fathers out there, it’s me your son Sunday Igboho. Greetings to my brothers and sisters home and abroad. Today is June 28 2026, a lot of rumours have been going viral but I’m here to let my supporters know that I’m fine.

“There’s nothing wrong with me. The injured members are doing fine too. There’s no going back until the Fulani kidnappers vacate our land before we can relent. I’m assuring you that. That you,” he said.
