Singer Jesse Jagz slams colleagues promoting betting, gambling

Nigerian singer and rapper Jesse Jagz has criticised celebrities endorsing and promoting betting and gambling brands.
The music star fiercely condemned the practice in a recent social media post.
According to him, celebrities who endorse or promote gambling should be “stoned”.
On his X handle, Jagz wrote, “We suppose to dey stone any artist promoting bets and gambling.”
According to some statistics, over 60 million Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 40 actively engage in sports betting and gambling, making it one of the largest markets in Africa.
Celebrity endorsement plays a huge role in gambling addiction in Nigeria.
Several Nigerian celebrities including singers, actors, skitmakers and influencers have endorsements with gambling brands both local and international.
