He noted that Senator Basiru’s contributions to national development and the growth of the APC reflect the quality of his upbringing and the enduring values imparted by his mother.
“The loss of a loving mother is a profound moment of grief. While death is an inevitable part of life, the pain of losing a parent is deeply felt and leaves an enduring void,” the President said.
Tinubu prayed for the repose of the deceased’s soul, asking Almighty Allah to grant her Aljanah Firdaus and comfort Senator Basiru, members of the family, friends, and loved ones during the difficult period.
He also urged the bereaved family to take solace in the exemplary life lived by the late Alhaja Sidikat Abake Basiru and the lasting legacy she left behind.
