In a post shared on X by Fox News on Tuesday,  Trump, accompanied by his family and cabinet members, appeared on the arena’s Jumbotron during the national anthem.  The president stood with his hand over his heart alongside Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, his granddaughter Kai Trump, and Jared Kushner.

 

 

Trump, dressed in a dark suit and a red tie, drew boos when he was shown briefly on Madison Square Garden’s Jumbotron. He brushed off the reception after the game.

“It was, I think, mostly cheers,” he told reporters after the game before boarding Air Force One to return to Washington. “It was loud, and it was very enthusiastic.”

 

The Spurs defeated the Knicks 115-111 in a thrilling contest, snapping New York’s 13-game playoff winning streak and trimming the series lead to 2-1. Victor Wembanyama led the Spurs with 32 points, eight rebounds, six assists, three blocks, and two steals, while Stephon Castle added 23 points off the bench.
