VIRAL PHOTOS: Actor Baba Ijesha Welcomes Son After Release From Prison
Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly known as Baba Ijesha, has announced the birth of his son.
Naijaonpoint Nigeria reports that the popular actor shared the news in an Instagram post on Monday, accompanied by maternity photographs featuring himself and his wife.
He expressed gratitude to God for the new addition to his family and revealed the child’s name as King Kagar Omiyinka.
Baba Ijesha said God had blessed his family with a healthy baby boy.
He wrote, “In quiet ways, in unseen ways, God has been writing a story only He could tell. We thank the Almighty for blessing us with a healthy baby boy.
“God gave me more than I prayed for. My ever beautiful wife, strong Jagaban, Abikese de mi owo, @ceolumineeofficial, who became the mother of my son, King Kagar Omiyinka.”
The announcement attracted congratulatory messages from fans, friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry. Many took to the comment section of his post to celebrate the couple.
TGM Understands that Baba Ijesha regained his freedom in November 2025 after serving a prison sentence following his conviction in a child sexual assault case.
The actor, despite serving the jail time, at different times has denied being a paedophile or rapist, claiming he was lured into the incident that led to his imprisonment.
Baba Ijesha denied the conviction during an interview on March 22, 2026, with veteran broadcaster Yinka Ayefele on Fresh FM.
