Gombe State PDP governorship candidate, Prof. Isa Ali Pantami, has cautioned that his party will resist any attempt to rig or manipulate the outcome of the 2027 governorship poll.
He made the remarks on Wednesday during an interactive session with PDP members and supporters across Nafada and other local government areas in the state.
Speaking in Hausa, he called on the Gombe State Government and Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya to guarantee a credible and transparent process once campaigning gets underway.
He declared that no one could alter the outcome of elections in Gombe this time around, insisting that the people’s votes would be cast and would genuinely count.
Pantami said the PDP’s campaign strategy would center on substantive issues rather than name-calling or provocation, noting that voters in Gombe had become too discerning to allow their votes to be wasted.
He also urged residents to shake off any fear of intimidation and turn out to vote according to their own convictions, stressing that the party intended to unseat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) strictly through the ballot box and constitutional means.
The PDP candidate further accused the APC-led administration in the state of failing to deliver meaningful development, claiming that government contracts have been concentrated in the hands of a select few.
He rounded off by expressing gratitude to his supporters and encouraging them to sustain their enthusiasm as the 2027 general election approaches.
