During the visit, Governor Alia sympathised with the traditional ruler and the people of the zone over the killings.

He urged residents, particularly the youth, to remain calm and cooperate with security agencies by providing timely and actionable intelligence.

“Such information will enable security agencies to respond swiftly and effectively,” the governor said.

Alia assured the people of Benue that security agencies will continue to pursue the bandits and criminal elements responsible for the attacks.

He condemned the killings and reiterated his administration’s commitment to collaborating with security forces to tackle all forms of insecurity in the state.
