Davido stakes $12,000 on Senegal to upset Belgium

Nigerian music star Davido has placed a $12,000 bet on Senegal to defeat Belgium in their 2026 FIFA World Cup Round of 32 clash on Wednesday.
The wager, placed through betting platform Stake, includes additional selections of Both Teams to Score and Under 3.5 goals.
According to details on the betting slip, the singer stands to receive a payout of $123,872.51 if all three selections are successful.
Davido shared the bet on his Instagram page with a message backing the African representatives.
“Belgium’s good, but Senegal’s gonna do it for Africa,” he wrote.
The high-profile wager comes as football fans across Africa rally behind the continent’s remaining representatives at the World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Senegal reached the Round of 32 after finishing third in Group I, while Belgium progressed as winners of Group G.
Both sides head into the knockout tie under pressure, with elimination expected to trigger strong reactions from supporters and pundits.
Davido is widely known for his passion for football and has previously made public predictions and wagers on major matches.
