Her parents failed her- Delta state governor’s aide, Ossai Ovie Success, blames parents of young lady who committed su!cide after she was allegedly r@ped by popular content creator, Odogwu Asaba

Ossai Ovie Success, who is an aide to the Delta State governor, has blamed the parents of Favour Agbor, the 20-year-old lady who committed su!cide after she was allegedly r@ped by popular content creator Odogwu Asaba.
In a video she made before she passed away, Favour said Odogwu Asaba had invited her to Asaba on the pretext of wanting to teach her how to monetize her social media handles. However, on getting to Asaba, he took her to a hotel and allegedly r@ped her despite her pleas that she doesn’t want any sexu@l relationship with him as she is a virgin.
Odogwu has since been arrested and is now in police custody.
In a post shared on Facebook this morning, Ovie blamed late Favour’s parents for not taking the necessary steps when she revealed to them that she had been sexu@lly ass@ulted by the suspect.
His post reads
Her Parents Failed Her
I took my time to follow up on this alleged r*pist, Odogwu of Asaba who is a content creator and the young girl, Favour, who was reportedly r*ped under the guise of teaching her content creation.
The fact is that her parents failed her seriously.
According to the video she made before passing away, her parents knew the girl was r*ped, and they did not report to the hospital or the police for proper documentation and possible therapy to help her heal from the trauma.
Favour said she reported the rape issue to her mother, who sent her transport fare to return to Warri after she was raped.
As a mother, she should have asked her to go to the nearest police station while she looked for ways to join her in Asaba, instead of sending her transport fare to return to Warri.
I also believe that they must have be blaming the young girl from traveling to meet a man in a hotel .
In a situation like this , you don’t blame the victim first , you do everything possible for her to get treatment as justice.
You see, it is your duty to protect your child or children, even if it means losing your life for them.
As parents and guardians, our first responsibility is to protect our children.
In cases of assault, the immediate steps should be: medical attention, police report, and counseling. Silence or handling it privately only denies the victim justice and healing.
This is a painful lesson for all of us. As a community, we must do better in protecting our children and responding to cases of sexual violence.
So for me, her parents failed her But I will personally follow up on this matter to ensure that the family of Favour gets full justice.
No life should be cut short in such a manner, and there can be no justification for any form of sexual violence.
Odogwu of Asaba should, by no means, be granted any freedom in his life.
In my next post, I will talk about how she failed herself , how Odogwu of Asaba failed her and How the first activist she reported to failed her .
I am really disappointed.
