A tragic incident has left residents of Sapele in Delta State, Nigeria, mourning the death of a well-known auto electrician identified as Chuks, who reportedly died shortly after spending the night inside his car following a disagreement with his wife.
According to reports circulating online, Chuks returned home late on Thursday night after spending the day preparing for his younger brother’s wedding, which was scheduled to take place on Saturday.
Sources claim that although the compound gate was opened for him, his wife allegedly refused to allow him access into their apartment. It was reported that Chuks tried to explain that he was delayed because he had been making preparations for his brother’s wedding, but his explanation was reportedly not accepted.
His wife allegedly told him to return to wherever he was coming from, leaving him with no option but to sleep inside his vehicle parked within the compound.
The following morning, Chuks reportedly contacted one of the workers from his mechanic workshop to assist him in transporting chickens he had purchased for his brother’s wedding ceremony.
However, tragedy struck when he stepped out of the vehicle while his assistant was unloading the items from the boot. According to eyewitness accounts, he suddenly collapsed and became unconscious.
He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention, but doctors reportedly confirmed that he had died.
While some reports have suggested that his death may have been linked to possible oxygen deprivation after spending the night inside a locked vehicle, the exact medical cause of death has not been officially established.
Chuks was described by residents as a hardworking businessman, a skilled auto electrician and a respected member of the Sapele community.
His sudden passing has reportedly brought sadness to family members, friends and customers, especially as his death occurred just days before his younger brother’s wedding, an occasion where he was expected to play a key role.
The incident has also sparked conversations online about communication, conflict resolution in marriages and the importance of seeking peaceful solutions during disagreements.
