I never supported Peter Obi or any other politician – Falana

A Nigerian artiste, Folarin Falana, popularly known as ‘Falz’ says he has never shown support for the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, presidential candidate, Peter Obi, or any other politician.
Falana stated this on Tuesday when he featured in an interview on ‘Prime Time’, a programme on Arise Television.
He encouraged Nigerians, particularly the youths to get involved in next year’s general elections.
“Just a point of correction. Inever openly supported Peter Obi or any politician or party in 2023 or at any point. I have actively encouraged people to go out and vote.
“I clamour for a free and fair democratic process. I haven’t stuck out my neck for any politician for obvious reasons.
“I think it’s very important to strengthen our democracy in this country. We’ve been going in cycles, and it just seems like almost the same crop of people we keep on reshuffling, and at the end of the day, it’s tough to even sit anywhere and vouch for a Nigerian politician in 2026,” he said.
