Okpebholo Appoints Iyamu as Edo Consumer Protection Committee Chairman

BENIN CITY – Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has approved the appointment of entrepreneur and community leader, Iyamu Osaro Destiny, as Chairman of the Edo State Consumer Protection Committee.
The appointment was announced in a statement issued on Monday by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor, Esq.
According to the statement, the appointment underscores the Governor’s commitment to strengthening institutions, safeguarding the rights and interests of consumers, and enhancing service delivery across Edo State.
The government described Iyamu as an entrepreneur, empowerment advocate and accomplished community leader with a strong commitment to justice, accountability and equal rights.
It noted that he is also a prolific author who has written and published books on good governance, reflecting his passion for ethical leadership and responsible public service.
The statement further highlighted his reputation as an effective mobilizer of human and material resources, citing his ability to unite individuals and communities in pursuit of common objectives.
Iyamu is the Founder and President of the Aiguobasinmwin Movement Worldwide and has held several leadership positions.
