Renewed Hope Ambassadors Youth & Women Network Commends Launch of Yoruba FCT Forum for Asiwaju

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors Youth & Women Network has commended the successful launch of the Yoruba FCT Forum for Asiwaju (YFFA) and the inauguration of its grassroots mobilisers, describing the initiative as a bold step toward strengthening grassroots political participation, community development, and unity among the Yoruba people in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The National Coordinator of the Network, Hon. Princess Adewumi Adetolaju, who led members of the organisation to the event held at the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development, Abuja, praised the Convener, Chief Dr. Abiodun Essiet, for his visionary leadership in bringing together key stakeholders from across the Yoruba community to promote collaboration and inclusive development.

Adetolaju noted that the launch of the forum and the inauguration of grassroots mobilisers demonstrate a strong commitment to engaging communities, promoting civic responsibility, and encouraging wider participation in democratic governance.

She commended Chief Dr. Essiet for creating a platform that unites traditional institutions, political leaders, professionals, women, youths, and community-based organisations in pursuit of a common goal of sustainable grassroots development.

“The launch of the Yoruba FCT Forum for Asiwaju is a commendable initiative that reflects the importance of unity, grassroots mobilisation, and inclusive participation. We applaud Chief Dr. Abiodun Essiet for this remarkable achievement and encourage the newly inaugurated mobilisers to remain dedicated to serving their communities with integrity and commitment,” she said.

The RHAYWN National Coordinator further noted that the presence of eminent personalities, including the FCT APC Chairman, Hon. Abdulmalik Usman; the FCT APC Women Leader, Hajiya Farida Odangi Sulaiman; the City Centre Councilor, Hon. Ummul Kalthum Olajumoke Yusuf; distinguished Yoruba traditional rulers and chiefs; APC leaders and stakeholders; youth and women leaders; religious leaders; and representatives of professional and business associations, underscored the significance of the occasion.

She reaffirmed the commitment of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors Youth & Women Network to supporting initiatives that align with the Renewed Hope Agenda by promoting youth empowerment, women’s inclusion, community development, and active grassroots engagement.

Adetolaju also urged political and community leaders to continue fostering unity and collaboration, stressing that sustainable development can only be achieved when citizens are actively involved in nation-building from the grassroots.

She expressed confidence that the Yoruba FCT Forum for Asiwaju would serve as a formidable platform for strengthening community relations, advancing people-oriented initiatives, and promoting peaceful political participation across the Federal Capital Territory and beyond.
