An inspection team known as “Seeing is Believing,” led by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Public Enlightenment, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz, expressed delight over the 95 per cent completion of the Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano, AKK, Gas Pipeline Project.

Mr Abdulaziz said this on Thursday while speaking with newsmen during an inspection visit to the project sites on Kaduna–Kano road.

The tour team which is also codename “Gani Ya Kori Ji tour,” aims to provide journalists with firsthand access to strategic infrastructure and development projects of the Federal Government.

The initiative also reinforces the government’s commitment to transparency and showcasing the progress being made under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

The Presidential aide said, “We are delighted to see and hear from the project officials that the strategic gas infrastructure has reached 95 per cent completion and remains on schedule for commissioning before the end of the year.

“Once completed, the pipeline will provide a reliable supply of natural gas to power plants and industries, reduce energy costs, boost electricity generation, and accelerate industrialisation across Northern Nigeria.

“A flagship infrastructure project under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, the AKK Gas Pipeline is expected to create thousands of jobs, attract new investments, strengthen the manufacturing sector, and unlock significant economic opportunities across the region.”

Also speaking, a representative of Chinese engineering firm handling the project, Hu Sassai, said the firm had completed field clearance, foundation and building works.

Sassai added that the equipment were currently on the site for installation.

Similarly, the delegation also inspected Section I of the Zaria–Funtua–Gusau–Sokoto Dual Carriageway Project, where they assessed the pace and quality of ongoing construction work.

It also visited the Vocational and Technology Skills Acquisition City in Kaduna State, a state-of-the-art skills development centre established by Gov. Uba Sani.

The Vocational and Technology Skills Acquisition City is meant to equip young people with modern vocational and technical skills for employment and entrepreneurship.

In addition, the delegation visited the newly revived General Shehu Musa Yar’Adua University of Geological Sciences and Engineering Technology, Kaduna under the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
