World Cup 2026: ‘Magical’ – Thierry Henry names African team that won his heart

Former France international, Thierry Henry, has identified Cape Verde as the African team that won his heart and that of his co-punditry Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Henry spoke to Fox Sports after Cape Verde’s World Cup Round of 32 defeat against Argentina earlier today.
Recall that the Blue Sharks lost 3-2 against the World Cup champions after 120 minutes at the Miami Stadium.
However, Henry was impressed with Cape Verde’s display against Argentina, describing it as magical.
“The story is, was and always will be Cabo Verde. What I witnessed today is just like — when you believe that you can, that’s what can happen,” Henry said.
“Yes, I know they ended up losing the game. But they won our hearts. I have to say that it’s just magical. Wow.”
