âThe Officeâ UK star Lucy Davis reveals stage four cancer has spread to her bones
The Office U.K. actress Lucy Davis has revealed that her stage four breast cancer has spread to her bones and is now incurable.
The 53-year-old actress, who was diagnosed about a year and a half ago, shared the update on Instagram while reflecting on her experience with the disease.
Davis said the initial sign was not an obvious lump but a small, hard spot that she almost ignored. She urged people not to dismiss unusual changes in their bodies and to get them checked.
Despite her diagnosis, Davis said she wants to spend whatever time she has left enjoying life, continuing her acting career and supporting animal welfare.
She also opened up about the pain she experiences and how humour from friends and family has helped her cope, adding that she does not want to be treated differently simply because she is ill.
