Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has made a bold claim about his standing in the Nigerian music industry, insisting that no Nigerian artist has a more impressive catalogue of hit songs than he does.
The singer made the declaration during a recent livestream with content creator Davrel, where he expressed confidence in the strength and longevity of his music catalogue.
Davido challenged any fellow Nigerian artiste who believes they have a stronger collection of commercial hits to put their discography to the test.
Backing his claim with serious confidence, the award-winning musician said he was willing to put $1 million on the line.
“I will put $1 million cash on the table. Nobody has more hits than me,” he declared.
His statement has since sparked conversations among music fans, with many debating which Nigerian artiste has the strongest catalogue and whether anyone can match Davido’s long list of popular songs.
