Bolt driver st@bbed to de@th by suspected armed robbers in Calabar

The Cross River State Police Command has commenced an investigation into the gruesome m#rder of a Bolt driver in Calabar in the early hours of Friday after he allegedly resisted an attempt by three unidentified men to dispossess him of his Toyota Corolla vehicle while driving at about 5:30am along Target Road in Calabar South Local Government Area.
According to an eyewitness, the driver picked up the three suspects along Mbukpa Road in Calabar South and was heading towards Calabar Municipality when they allegedly ordered him to stop and hand over his car key. When he refused to heed to their instruction, the assailants stabbed him. The deceased managed to drive into a nearby fuel station with blood all over his body. The suspects fled the scene afterwards.
Passersby rushed the driver to a nearby hospital where he was confirmed de@D.
Confirming the incident to newsmen, the Police Public Relations Officer in Cross River State, ASP Eitokpah Sunday Akata, said the command had launched an investigation and will apprehend the fleeing suspects.
