I’m here Holding On, Rev. Banji pays tribute to late brother, Dotun Oladipo

Reverend Banji Oladipo has paid an emotional tribute to his late brother, Dotun Oladipo, describing him as the “Eagle of The Eagle Online”.

The cleric expressed deep sadness that his elder brother would not be present at the launch of his new book, HOLD ON.

Dotun Oladipo was a prominent Nigerian journalist, publisher and founder of The Eagle Online.

Rev. Oladipo, who disclosed that the late journalist was a reputable member of the Board of Trustees of Love’s Domain Family Assembly, said Dotun had also written the foreword to his first book, THE PERFECT MATCH.

In an emotional tribute made available to The Eagle Online, Rev. Oladipo said he had been looking forward to the launching of HOLD ON, but would now have to face the occasion without his brother.

He said: “He did the foreword of my first book THE PERFECT MATCH. He is a reputable member of the Board of Trustee of our ministry LOVE’S DOMAIN FAMILY ASSEMBLY.

“I was looking forward to the launching of my new book HOLD ON. But you won’t be there 😭😭😭.

“We discussed till 2:41pm and two hours later you were gone. The Eagle of the Eagle Online has flown. Will miss you bros Dot. Till we meet again sir, my beloved brother.

“I am here HOLDING ON”

The tribute comes against the backdrop of Rev. Oladipo’s new book, HOLD ON, whose central message is one of perseverance, faith and refusing to give up in difficult seasons.

The lyrics inspired by the book echo that message, urging those going through difficult moments to remain steadfast even when answers appear delayed.

“When the road is long and your heart is tired,

“When you’ve prayed so long and the heavens seem still,

“And you wonder if tomorrow ever will.”

The song continues with a message of encouragement:
