Davido: APC spent N110b on Osun poll, Akpabio, Dangote called me to delete tweet + Video

Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke, has alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) spent N110 billion on the August 15, 2026 governorship election in Osun State, adding that the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, and businessman Aliko Dangote called him to delete a tweet he made on X on the poll.

Davido made the revelation on News Central TV three days after the election that his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, won.

He said: “I heard that the Senate President was trying to call the coalition center. 

“He also called me to delete tweet. 

“I refused. 

“Dangote also called. 

“I said I won’t delete till INEC declares my uncle as winner.”

Davido said the tweet followed the failure of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to keep uploading the results on the INEC Rev portal.

He said: “INEC was uploading results every 30 minutes, then suddenly stopped. 

“I knew they wanted to start manipulation, I heard about Akpabio so I put out the tweet. 

They all called me to delete, even uncle Aliko Dangote. 

“But Omo.. no o.”

When asked by NewsCentral TV about the allegation that the APC spent about N60 billion on the election, Davido replied: “It is more than that. 

“I just confirmed today that APC spent N110 billion. 

“If you saw the cash they brought to the election, Nigeria would have been finished if they had gotten away with it because the blueprint for Nigerian elections would have been violence and vote buying.”
