I know my husband. He did not r@pe or k!ll Favour. I stand with him 100% – Wife of content creator, Odogwu Assaba breaks her silence

The wife of content creator, Ifeanyi Ogbonna aka Oodgwu Asaaba, has come out to defend him weeks after he was arrested for alleged r@pe and de@th of the victim, Favour Agbro.

The 20-year-old had traveled from Warri to Asaba on June 1, 2026 after Ogbonna promised to mentor and train her in content creation. Instead, she alleged in a viral video that he took her to a hotel and ass@ulted her. Following the alleged abuse and severe emotional distress, Agbro tragically took her own life.

After a petition filed by human rights activist Comrade Israel Joe, the suspect was arrested and the Delta State Police spokesperson SP Bright Edafe confirmed the arrest. 

In a newly released video, the suspect’s wife says she is standing with her husband, while claiming he didn’t commit the crime he’s being accused of. She argued that social media is no court.

‘’Odogwu Asaaba is my husband, and I stand with him 100%. I am not going to turn my back on him. How I feel, what I feel, and how I see this matter is my personal decision. I want to let you people know that everything is not actually how they presented it. Before I could come out to talk, I learnt a lot about this matter.

Social media is not a courtroom, and we do not do these things with emotions.

Yes, someone has d!ed and that is why we are taking it easy. Someone has d!ed and it is painful, but Odogwu Asaaba did not k!ll anybody. He did not r@pe Favour. He only had an affair with the said girl. There is no way Odogwu Asaaba r@ped Favour. 

I know my husband. He didn’t. He can’t r@pe. He has never!’
