Jude hasnât been convicted of any crime – Jude Okoyeâs former lawyer, Inibehe Effiong knocks Peter Okoye over âsocial media trialâ of his brothers

Human Rights lawyer Inibehe Effiong has criticized singer Peter Okoye (Mr P) for conducting a “social media trial” against his brother and former manager, Jude Okoye, noting that Peter’s public statements contradict his own admissions under cross-examination in ongoing court cases.
Effiong, who previously served as legal counsel to Jude in the matter, stressed that Jude has not been convicted of any crime and must be granted his constitutional right to the presumption of innocence. The human rights lawyer expressed concern that Peter—the nominal complainant in two active court cases—is actively leveraging digital platforms to influence public opinion while formal judicial processes remain unresolved before courts of competent jurisdiction.
According to Effiong, the narrative Peter is promoting online differs sharply from the verifiable admissions he has already made under sworn cross-examination in court.
